In an interview with The Draft Network‘s Justin Melo, Syracuse defensive back Isaiah Johnson shared a list of teams he has had either an in-person or virtual meeting with and mentioned Arizona.

“I’ve spoken with a bunch of teams since the NFL Combine,” Johnson said. “I met with a few more teams at my Pro Day as well. We’re scheduling some visits as we speak. I met with the Cardinals on Zoom. I met with the [Tennessee] Titans, [Pittsburgh] Steelers and [Detroit] Lions at Pro Day. Spoke with the Bills and Cowboys as well.”

After being a redshirt and having his sophomore year canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Johnson began his college career at Dartmouth in 2018 but had two years of college eligibility left following the 2021 season.

Transferring to Syracuse in 2022, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound DB played 25 games with the Orange. Johnson grabbed 115 tackles, an interception and forced a fumble.

According to different analysts, the Michigan native can play either at safety or cornerback.

At safety, Budda Baker and Jalen Thompson will most likely be penciled in as the Cardinals starters. Bobby Price, Joey Blount and Verone McKinley round out the depth of the position.

As for cornerback, Garrett Williams, Andre Chachere, Michael Ojemudia, Darren Hall, Kei’Trel Moore, Qwauntrezz Knight, Starling Thomas V, Divaad Wilson and Quavian White are all signed for next season. New free agent signing Sean Murphy-Bunting has been added by Arizona as well.

The Cardinals have six draft picks in the first three rounds and 11 overall this year, beginning on April 25-27.
