This is a huge blow for a team that looks to make a Pac-12 Tournament run this coming week.
Playing in all 30 games prior to Saturday, Perez was a significant rotational piece for the Sun Devils (14-17, 8-12). The New York native averaged 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on 43/41/74 shooting splits.
Offensively, his absence was noticed during the team’s 59-47 loss to UCLA (15-16, 10-10). Arizona State scored just 47 points as a team and shot under 40% from all three levels.
They will now head to Las Vegas and face the Utah Utes (18-13, 9-11) on Wednesday, March 13 @ 8:30 p.m. MST.
2024 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament bracket officially set
Despite being short-handed, the Sun Devils will attempt to make some noise in the conference tournament. An ASU victory on Wednesday would secure a second-round matchup with No. 3 Colorado.
