Dort’s performence

Despite shooting 5-for-13 from the field, Dort’s impact was on full display Sunday.

As he has done continuously throughout his career, the two-way guard took on the assignment of the opponent’s top offensive player.

Durant was held to just 10 points on 2-of-7 shooting in the first half. He finished the game with 20 points on 6-of-15 shooting, along with five turnovers. This stands as Durant’s lowest-scoring game since his Feb. 4 matchup with the Washington Wizards.

Dort’s defense helped propel Oklahoma City over Phoenix.

The 24-year-old ended this game with three steals and a block in 31 minutes played.

Career at ASU

Dort played one season for Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils. During that season, the Canadian native led the team with 16.1 points and 1.5 steals per game. Arizona State finished with a 23-11 record and second in the conference behind just Washington.

After going undrafted, Dort signed a two-way contract with the Thunder and has been a pivotal rotational piece for the Western Conference’s current No. 1 seed.

He sported James Harden’s Vol. 8 shoes inspired by the Arizona State colorway during Sunday’s road game.

The former Sun Devil continues to support Arizona State at the NBA level.
