According to a team post on X (formerly Twitter), Arizona reassigned the following players to their Minor League Camp:

Players Reassigned: RHP Christian Montes De Oca, RHP Austin Pope, LHP Yu-Min Lin, LHP Konnor Pilkington, C J.J. D’Orazio, C Ronaldo Hernández, C Caleb Roberts, 1B Ivan Melendez, OF A.J. Vukovich.

Before this lengthy announcement, the trio of catchers sent down were given a small sample size during their limited playing time and plate appearances.

Out of the list, Roberts’ reassignment was just a smidge surprising after going 2-for-5 during his short stint. D’Orazio went 1-for-5 and Hernández went hitless, 0-for-2.

As for the infielders, Vukovich was 2-for-16 while Melendez didn’t get a single hit in 11 plate appearances (0-for-11).

Shortening the pitching staff a tad bit, there was no shocking news from that front.

Lin only pitched 0.1 of an inning, allowing five runs on four hits against the Oakland Athletics on Feb. 26.

In two games, Montes De Oca threw for 1.1 innings, not giving up a run and allowing just one hit.

Pilkington had a rough two outings for the Diamondbacks. During 1.2 innings of work, he conceded four runs on six hits to record a 21.60 ERA and 4.20 WHIP.

Even though he pitched a hitless inning against the Chicago White Sox on Feb. 25, Pope gave up one run on one hit, hit a batter and surrendered two walks vs. the Cleveland Guardians.

Despite these cuts, there are still 60 players apart of the D’Backs’ Spring Training Camp. The final 26-man roster for the MLB regular season will be official in the next few weeks.
