Tommy Lloyd’s success
Lloyd was hired by Arizona in 2021.
He has led the program to an 81-16 record, along with two Pac-12 Conference Tournament Championships. Lloyd was named the AP and Pac-12 Coach of the Year during his first season with the team.

The Wildcats have entered the NCAA Tournament as a top-two seed in each of Lloyd’s first two seasons. However, they were eliminated before the Elite Eight in both years.
Arizona now stands atop the Pac-12 and will look to make that much anticipated deep run in March.
What it means for ASU
During Lloyd’s time with the Wildcats, they have defeated Arizona State in five of six matchups.
He has consistently kept the program at an elite level and this shouldn’t be expected to change anytime soon.
The two teams faced off for their first of two matchups this season and it was not pretty for ASU. They suffered the largest loss in Territorial Cup history.
