The Basha Bears (20-6) entered playoffs as the No. 4 seed and strolled through Round One against the No. 29 seed Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (23-4).

Basha has continued on its road to a championship this season.
The team made it to the final four of Arizona’s first annual Open State Playoffs but fell short to Sunnyslope.
Led by sophomore point guard Mason Magee, Basha undoubtedly has the potiential to come away with this season’s state title.

The Bears have now won 11 of their last 13 games and are as hot as any team in the bracket. While there is still work to do, Basha is well on its way to a potiential state championship.
Up next
Advancing to Round Two of the bracket, Basha will face the Mesquite Wildcats (21-6) on Friday, Feb. 16 @ 7 p.m. MST.
The Wildcats defeated Pinnacle 60-57 during the first round and have continued to play at a high level.
Basha and Mesquite faced each other early in the season and the Bears dominated them by almost 40 points. While the Wildcats have played great basketball this season, they are faced with a tough task on Friday.
