Phoenix Suns star guard Bradley Beal will undergo a procedure to fix his nasal fracture suffered Jan. 26 over the All-Star break, according to coach Frank Vogel.

“He’s going to have that done (over the break),” Vogel said pregame yesterday.

Vogel added that the procedure will only take a few days to recover from, so it shouldn’t be a problem in terms of missing games. The Suns (33-22) next play Feb. 22 in Dallas against the Mavericks (32-23).

Beal missed last night’s win over the Detroit Pistons after injuring his left hamstring in the first quarter of Tuesday’s win over the Sacramento Kings.

“Did some evaluation (yesterday), but still hasn’t completed the full evaluation process,” Vogel said of Beal’s hamstring injury. “We do believe it’s not serious and that we’re clear of anything long term it seems like. We’ll have further information after the break.

“Hopefully the hamstring and the procedure will be behind him by next week.”

Of the Suns’ 54 games this season, Beal has only played in 30 of them due to various injuries. Missing last night’s game snapped Beal’s 24-game streak of being active despite the nasal fracture and spraining his ankle last week.

Beal is averaging 18.7 points on 49.3% shooting, 4.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds so far this season.
