In the second of three games during the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend, Arizona Coyotes right wing Clayton Keller recorded an assist for Team Matthews in their 6-5 shoutout victory against Team Hughes.

Keller kept the puck at the blue line and tapped it to Marner. From there, Marner walked in on Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko and beat the netminder glove side, giving Matthews’ squad a 1-0 lead 2:17 into the second 10-minute half.

Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano and Detroit Red Wings winger Alex Debrincat both scored twice while Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes had three assists in the game. Debrincat won the second semifinal for Team Matthews in the shootout as he scored on Demko once again.
For the championship, Team Matthews will face Team McDavid who won 4-3 in a shootout for the first matchup.
