Vikings dominate
Sunnyslope currently ranks as the No. 2 in the state behind only the Perry Pumas (15-5), who defeated them in last year’s state championship game.
Despite taking a few crushing losses to out-of-state teams, the Vikings have played exceptionally well against teams in-state.

Led by star sophomore guard John Mattingly, the team is now rolling on all cylinders and should be considered one of the favorites to bring home Arizona’s second-annual open state championship this year.
Just three games remaining
The Vikings have three regular-season games left to play.
Their next matchup will be against the Boulder Creek Jaguars (15-8) on Tuesday, Jan 30 @ 7 p.m. MST. This is a huge game for both teams as the Jaguars defeated Sunnyslope just one week ago.

Considering this, Sunnyslope will now look to even the score and enter the playoffs with as much momentum as possible.
