The Highland Hawks (7-8-1) boys soccer team has just two games remaining in regular season play before potentially entering the 6A playoffs.

The Hawks have not been nearly as dominant as they were just a year ago. The team went 11-4-1 last season and was knocked out in the first round of the 6A conference playoffs.
One significant difference is the team’s inability to score consistently, as they’ve been held to one or fewer goals in eight games this season.
They are currently ranked No. 21 in the 6A, according to MaxPreps, and must turn it around for a shot at the conference playoffs.

Highland’s opponents
Highland’s first of its final two regular season games comes against the Desert Ridge Jaguars (9-9). The Jaguars are also in need of late-season victories to cement their spot in the conference playoffs.
The Hawks will then end their season in a matchup with the Gilbert Tigers (7-7) who are in a similar spot as the two. Highland will more than likely need two wins here to have a chance to compete in the playoffs once again.
