While they are still playing at an elite level this season, the Pumas have taken a step down from last season. The team lost just one total game through the entire 2022-23 season, where they were named open state champions.

Despite the losses, Perry remains the top-ranked team in Arizona, according to MaxPreps. They should still be considered the team to beat when playoff basketball begins.
Wolves Remain Inconsistent
Chandler finished with a 13-16 record last season and was eliminated in the first round of the 6A conference playoffs.
They have once again had similar struggles and have yet to prove that they can consistently win games. The team desperately needs to go on a winning streak as the playoffs approach, starting with this difficult matchup with the Pumas.
