While it has been a collective effort for the Sidewinders this season, one player has stood out above the rest.
Senior midfielder Misael Meza has shown nothing short of dominance this season. Through nine games played, Meza leads the team with 12 goals and seven assists.
Yesterday, Luis Mario Medina imposed a new school record of 5 goals in a game previously held by Iann Topete and Cesar Moreno (4 goals).
Luis and Misael Meza also tied the record from Marlon Atondo in 2015 for most points in a game (10) pic.twitter.com/fWk0AeT92W

He has constantly made big plays for the team and should be considered one of the most complete players in the state as of right now.
San Luis’ Championship Aspirations
The Sidewinders have one clear goal this season and that is to be named 6A champions. They are coming off a season of just one loss that did not come until the 6A championship game against the Perry Pumas.

Rather than dwell on the loss, the team can learn from that experience and attempt to get there with a different result this year.
With just three regular-season games left for the Sidewinders, two of them will come against the Hawks. San Luis can once again exit the regular season with no losses and immense momentum heading into the playoffs.
