Transfer Portal Piles Up

Following the domino effect of coaching changes after longtime Alabama coach Nick Saban’s retirement, transfers across the country have piled up.

The Arizona Wildcats have been a victim of several players transferring after head coach Jedd Fisch left to replace Kalen DeBoer at Washington. Former San José State head coach Brent Brennan will now be in control of the Wildcats program and look to keep them afloat.

Williams is one of 10 Wildcat players who have entered the portal and will now weigh all options. Despite entering the portal, these players may still be re-recruited by Brennan and Arizona for a potiential return.

Next For Williams

Williams was the No. 4 ranked recruit in Arizona from the class of 2024 and committed to the Wildcats in July of 2023.

His playmaking ability from the quarterback position was a treat to watch at Basha. In four years on varsity, Williams threw for 10035 yards, 93 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. In addition, he also had 2,783 yards and 42 touchdowns on the ground.

The four-star QB received dozens of offers to play at the next level and will without a doubt be recruited heavily over the next few weeks. We will keep you updated on his status as more information comes out.
