Currently riding a three-game losing streak, the Portland Trail Blazers have a mind-boggling eight players ruled out against the Phoenix Suns.

This lengthy list includes:

  • Deandre Ayton (right knee tendinitis)
  • Jerami Grant (illness)
  • Matisse Thybulle (illness)
  • Malcolm Brogdon (right adductor soreness)
  • Ibou Badji (right hip contusion)
  • Moses Brown (left wrist fracture)
  • Shaedon Sharpe (adductor soreness)
  • Robert Williams III (right knee ligament tear)

This leaves the Blazers with just eight players active and available.

The Trail Blazers are already in the midst of one of the worst three-game stretches in NBA history. Including a 62-point loss to the Thunder, Portland has been outscored by 113 points in their last three losses.

Since the start of December, the Blazers have held a 4-16 record. This miserable stretch has been primarily driven by a non-stop injury plague that has infected almost everybody on their roster.

In particular, Deandre Ayton has missed the past 10 games due to a knee injury. The Blazers are 2-8 in Ayton’s absence.

Tonight will mark the final time that the Suns will face off against Portland. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 PM.
