The Perry Pumas (14-4) defeated the Grayson Rams (15-2) of Georgia 64-63 during Saturday’s HoopHall Classic matchup in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Last-Second Victory
After leading by double-digit points with just over two minutes left in the game, the Pumas gave up 12 points and were trailing 63-61 with just four seconds left.
Against all odds, senior guard Barron Silbsy knocked down a final-second three-pointer to give Perry the win.

The HoopHall Classic consists of the best high school basketball teams and players across the country. The Rams are currently ranked No. 1 in the entire state of Georgia, making this an incredible win for the Pumas.
Perry Remain Top Team
Despite some tough losses this season, Perry continues to prove that they are still the team to beat in Arizona.

They were crowned open champions in the state’s first open playoff tournament last season and now have an opportunity to win back-to-back. This victory further solidifies Perry as the top team in the state and gives them a win against their toughest opponent yet this season.
The Pumas will next match up against the 10-9 Brophy College Prep Broncos on Wednesday, Jan 17 @ 7 p.m. MST, as they attempt to keep this momentum rolling while the playoffs approach.
