Through their first 14 games played, the Pumas are the No. 5 ranked team in the state of Arizona. Perry senior Caden Dosmann leads the team with 10 goals and six assists this season.

Despite having a better record than the Pumas thus far, Corona del Sol is ranked No. 11 in the state. Senior striker Sean Maguire has been one of the most dominant strikers in high school soccer this season. Maguire has scored 18 goals along with six assists through just 14 games.

Each of these 6A programs is considered a serious championship contender for the conference this season.
6A Soccer Showdown
The Pumas are coming off a season where they were named 6A champions and proved to be the most dominant team in the conference.

The Aztecs went just 5-11-2 last season and have improved significantly from that. They went from a team that was outscored by 30 goals through last season to being ranked just outside the top 10 in the entire state.
One goal is set for both teams and that is to be crowned 6A champions this season. A victory on Monday will give them momentum heading into the playoffs in February.
