Injury Statuses of Kevin Durant, Bol Bol and More Revealed for Tomorrow’s Game vs. Grizzlies

Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel provided yet another lengthy injury update before the Suns (19-16) take on the Memphis Grizzlies (12-23) tomorrow night.

Most notably, Kevin Durant will be questionable with a right hamstring strain. Durant has missed the last three games due to the injury and was ruled out of last night’s victory over the Heat less than two hours before tip-off after originally being questionable.

Today, the Suns just did a walkthrough, not a full practice, in preparation for tomorrow’s game.

“His individual work was just the individual shooting (that) they normally go through,” Vogel said of how much Durant did today, “which is high intensity and some sprint work. He’s (also) doing some stuff with the medical team, the range of motion, strengthening those types of things. But he’s gonna be still listed as questionable.”

Vogel complimented Durant’s work ethic.

“KD goes as hard in his workouts than any player that I’ve been with,” Vogel said. “It’s full speed, movement, aggressive jabs, pull ups, game intensity.”

Bol Bol, who had been seeing his minutes increase off the bench, will be out with a right ankle sprain suffered last night. Bol entered last night having scored in double figures in two straight games, but only played 10 minutes last night due to the injury.

“He played two and a half really good games,” Vogel said of Bol. “So I mean, there’s been a lot of excitement about our group about what he can contribute, and how he’s grown since the summer with our system. And so it’s disappointing, but it is an ankle sprain, so it’s not something long term. So we’re encouraged about that.”

Eric Gordon, who missed last night’s game due to left knee soreness will be upgraded to questionable. He did not participate in the team’s shootaround yesterday despite being originally listed as questionable last game. He eventually was ruled out.

Jusuf Nurkić headed to the locker room last night after taking a shot above the eye, but will be “good to go” for tomorrow, Vogel said.

Nassir Little will be out with left knee soreness. He has been dealing with tendinitis in his knee that has occasional flare-ups, so he has been in and out of being available for games for the past week and a half. Little has not logged any minutes since the Suns’ Dec. 27 victory over the Houston Rockets.

Damion Lee remains out after undergoing right meniscus surgery in the offseason.

Grizzlies Injury Report

For the Grizzlies, Ja Morant is questionable with right shoulder soreness. Memphis is 6-3 in the games Morant has played since returning from his 25-game suspension that started at the beginning of the season.

Vince Williams Jr. is questionable with left foot soreness, while Derrick Rose is out with a left hamstring strain.

Steven Adams (right knee PCL surgery) and Brandon Clarke (left achilles tendon repair) remain out.

The Suns are 2-0 against the Grizzlies this season, but Memphis did not have Morant in either of those matchups.

Tomorrow’s game tips off at 6 p.m. MST and concludes a six-game homestand for the Suns, who have won five of their last six games.
