Returning from a five-game absence, Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal was excited and relieved to have played with his squad once again.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Prior to Phoenix defeating Charlotte 133-119 last night, he injured his ankle in a 139-122 Suns loss to the New York Knicks on Dec. 15.
Beal was asked about his setback and recovery before he revealed that this sprain was worse than any other one that he has suffered before.
“I am usually faster with ankle sprains, this one was really tough,” Beal said. “I really tweaked this one. So for me, it was definitely frustrating. Dealing with the back (injury), then coming back and feeling good in the New York game and the second game I am out, can’t make it up.”
“I can sit here and say I feel good, but my ankle isn’t 100%,” Beal said. “I am not gonna sit and say ‘Oh, it’s the best I felt.’ I felt really good at the beginning of the year, but I’m getting there.”
In his seventh game of the season, Beal posted six points, seven assists and played 29:59.
For the short stint that he has had in the valley overall, Beal is averaging 13.4 points, 3.7 assists and shooting at a field goal clip of 44.2% per game.
