This competitive feud was put on full display during their meeting on March 5th of last season. In this game, Devin Booker, who ended with 36 points, led his team to a close 130-126 win over Dallas.
Luka also had an excellent afternoon, scoring 34 points. And of course, he and Booker exchanged some words with each other in the second half, leading to their teammates having to separate from one another.
Now, Luka and Booker will play each other for the first time since this chapter of their ongoing rivalry on the court. However, both of them, when asked about their relationship, have taken a more friendly approach.
Despite the on-court drama, the mutual respect between the two is evident. acknowledging their respect for each other.
On Sunday, Booker explained, “Me and Luka’s respect for each other has been mutual and at a high level since he came into the league.”
