Starting Time: 8:30 p.m. MST at SAP Center in San Jose, CA

Following a dramatic 1-0 win in Tempe a week ago, the Arizona Coyotes will clash with the San Jose Sharks yet again tonight, but this time at the “Shark Tank.”

On Dec. 15, both teams collided and it was a traditional end-to-end, free-flowing hockey game with multiple scoring chances generated on both sides of the ice.

Coyotes left wing Matias Maccelli would dive for a rebound and buried ultimately the lone goal, but that was before a chaotic third period.

Sharks left wing Oskar Lindblom and center Mikael Granlund both thought they scored off of separate plays. After deliberating on the bench, however, Arizona’s coaching staff challenged both sequences before the officials reversed their original rulings because of goaltender interference and offsides, respectively.

With instant replay becoming a key factor later into the contest, goaltender Connor Ingram would record his third shutout of the season for the ‘Yotes.

The victory against San Jose also began a three-game winning streak for Arizona as they carry it into this evening. Previously, the Coyotes came back from a 3-0 deficit in the first period to defeating the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on Dec. 19.

What that defeat did for the Sharks was the polar opposite, beginning the three-game losing skid that they have been currently on.

San Jose was dismantled 6-2 by the Colarado Avalanche on Dec. 17 before losing 4-1 to California foes, the Los Angeles Kings, on Tuesday.

If the last encounter between the Coyotes and Sharks indicated what is in store for tonight, both teams will have an equal time with the puck, but it will depend on what they do when in possession that determines the outcome.
