Gallen titled the article “The Diamondbacks Will Be Back to Ruin the Party,” highlighting Arizona’s unexpected rise to prominence in Major League Baseball.

He began his heartwarming story by recounting some of the best moments of the Diamondbacks postseason run. Gallen named a few of his favorites, which included Ketel Marte “barreling up everything he saw,” four home runs in the first inning of Game 3 in the NLDS, Arizona’s quick sweep of the Brewers and the Dodgers, along with their comeback series win against the Phillies in Philadelphia.

However, according to Gallen, none of those moments were as special as the roar he heard from Chase Field and the smiles he saw on the fans faces who have been waiting for something to smile about since 2017.

Choosing his words carefully, Zac poetically explained the joy that he felt from knowing that his team made their city proud.

“If you ask me, the best thing about this run was the pure joy our fans got to experience. The looks on everyone’s faces, the energy around the city, the roar we’d hear at Chase when we were stringing hits together, or when Mert or Pfaadt or Ginkel needed to make a big pitch. It was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And it made me so proud to be a part of this organization, this city, this community. I won’t forget it as long as I live.”

Gallen proceeded to elucidate the Diamondbacks’ path to success in October.

Despite the odds being stacked against them, the D-backs rolled through the postseason into the World Series as the final Wild Card team in the National League.

They swept the NL Central 1st-place Milwaukee Brewers, completely dismantled the 100-win Dodgers, and then, down 3-2 in the NLCS heading back to Citizens Bank Park, the D-backs took two in a row against a team that was nearly unbeatable at home.

As Gallen put it, “It’s pretty amazing what you can accomplish when no one expects anything from you.”

Towards the end, Gallen shifted focus to the emotional aftermath of the World Series loss. While acknowledging the pain of elimination, he maintains a positive outlook, emphasizing the potential for the Diamondbacks to evolve into a baseball juggernaut.

He concluded with, “It’s a whole new era of D’backs baseball, as far as I’m concerned. I can’t wait to see where things go next.”

Indeed, he could not be closer to the truth.
