Mesa entered the open state playoffs last season but fell short to Desert Mountain 76-60 in the first round. They will look to enter the playoffs again and make a much deeper run when it matters.
Mustangs Off To A Solid Start
Dobson is 6-5 on the season and has lost their last two games by a wide margin. However, it was against two of the top teams in the state, Hamilton and Basha.
The Mustangs went just 14-13 last season and were eliminated in the first round of the 6A conference playoffs.
The team has looked similar but will attempt to make a more impactful run in the 6A and possibly even state playoffs this season.
Matchup Outlook
Each of these teams has much different paths through the end of the season, but have similar aspirations and that is to win a conference or state title.
In their matchup against each other last season, the Jackrabbits came out on top 47-40. Dobson will use that as fuel for Tuesday’s game.
