Arizona State Lands First Transfer O-Lineman in Arkansas’s Joey Su’a

Joey Su’a, a three-star guard formerly of Arkansas, becomes the first O-Lineman in ASU’s 2023 transfer haul.

Su’a is a class of 2023 O-Lineman who sat for the Razorbacks the entire season. Su’a will join an Arizona State team desperately needing an O-Lineman ready to play, and Su’a fits that. The 6’4, 346-pound lineman will be an immediate player for this team.

Su’a was originally a three-star lineman out of Bentonville, Arkansas, who stayed home to play for Arkansas. He was a top-90 offensive guard in the 2023 class. He also had offers from Oregon, Michigan State, Georgia, and BYU. So, it’s safe to say Su’a was a talented player, but he didn’t see the field last season.

There is still a big question mark, but after last season, depth is the most important thing, and that’s what Su’a provides the Sun Devils with. Kenny Dillingham said O-Line was the main position of need for Arizona State. He finally gets his first one in the transfer portal here. Su’a joins Raleek Brown as the two offensive transfers today.
