Beal missed 19 of the team’s first 22 games with a low back strain. Now, he will miss even more time with this ankle sprain, as the Suns’ Big 3 have only played 24 total minutes together this season.
“Shit happens,” Suns’ superstar Kevin Durant said after last night’s 139-122 loss to the New York Knicks. “We got great training staff, he’s got great support behind him. He’ll be back out there.”

Beal has appeared in six contests this year and is averaging 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 25.2 minutes per game on the season. Yesterday was supposed to be the first game he was off a minutes restriction.
“Injuries are a part of the game,” Suns’ coach Frank Vogel said postgame yesterday. “I am disappointed for him; he’s worked really hard. You can see the disappointment on his face, so that’s my biggest concern is keeping him lifted. He’ll get back soon enough, but it’s been frustrating injury type of season for him and in terms for us? Injuries are a part of the game. You can’t get caught up in that and you move on.”
