Highland Stays Hot

The Hawks (7-2) have looked just as dominant as they did during last season’s championship run

Highland finished this past season with a 30-4 record and defeated Brophy College Prep in the 6A championship.

The team will have started the season off strong, outscoring opponents 547-419. They will look to replicate last season’s success.

Aztecs Fall Short

Despite this blowout loss for Corona del Sol, they have looked much improved from their 9-17 record last season.

The Aztecs (5-4) have outscored opponents 557-510 and have lost two of their games by less than three points.

Corona will attempt to stay above .500 and make a potienital run in the conference playoffs.

What’s Next

The Aztecs next play against the 5-5 Chandler Wolves on Thursday, Jan. 4. After a long break, this will be a crucial game to get the team its momentum back.

Each team has much different paths but both have a goal to make a run in the 6A playoffs and potientially even the open state playoffs.
