Coming off their magical run to the open state championship last season, it has not been easy to follow up. However, the Vikings (5-2) have managed to do it.
After starting the season 2-2, the team had a chance at revenge in a championship rematch against Perry and defeated the Pumas 53-52.
With the victory against Mountain Ridge, the team is now on a three-game win streak and will look to continue this level of play.
Mountain Lions Extend Losing Streak
Mountain Ridge is now down to 4-8 on the season and has lost six straight games.
The team averages under 60 points per game and has just four players currently averaging above five points.
Despite the crushing losing streak, the Mountain Lions have improved significantly from last season, where the team finished the season at just 3-23.

The Vikings’ next game comes next Friday, Dec. 22 against the 6-1 Brophy College Prep Broncos. Brophy is currently ranked as the No. 1 team in the entire state, according to MaxPreps. This is a must-watch game between two of the top teams in the state.
The Mountain Lions also have a very tough matchup ahead, as they face the 9-1 O’Connor Eagles this Saturday.
Both teams have tough games ahead but will look to pull it out and gain some momentum.
