The Hamilton Huskies defeated the Pinnacle Pioneers 51-48 in Friday’s matchup.

The Huskies (7-2) get a crucial victory against a Pinnacle team that has been incredible to start the season.

The two games that Hamilton lost this season came by a combined deficit of four points.
After winning just four games through the entirety of last season, the Huskies have proven to be much improved and a championship contender this season.
Hamilton basketball is currently ranked No. 6 in the entire state of Arizona, according to MaxPreps.
Pinnacle Falls Short
The Pioneers now fall to 7-2 on the season.
Pinnacle has dominated their opponents this season, outscoring them 662-517 despite the two losses.
They have four players this season that are averaging double-digit points per game. Those include senior guard Tommy Randolph, junior guard Ryan Nelson, sophomore forward Kareem Alkhalifa, and senior forward Christian Wells.

Much like the Huskies, Pinnacle looks much better than last season and looks to make a playoff push in February.
Championship Aspirations
As with every team in the state, the goal to to win the open state championship as Perry did last season.
Both Pinnacle and Hamilton have had strong starts to the season but still have a lot of basketball left to play.
The playoff bracket is an entirely new season and the number one priority for each team is to make sure they are ready for it.
