BREAKING: Arizona State Lands First Transfer in Florida State Tight End

Arizona State got the news that former Florida State TE Markeston Douglas would be transferring to Arizona State.

Douglas is the first transfer for Arizona State this cycle. The TE caught 11 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns last season for Florida State. In 2022, he caught 14 catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Douglas is a redshirt Senior, so he will have one more year of eligibility left. He was originally a three-star prospect coming out of Tennessee in the 2020 class. Dillingham coached Douglas at Florida State when he was an offensive coordinator there. Dillingham was Douglas’s first offensive coordinator in college, so that relationship probably helped aid the young TE’s decision.

This is a major get for Arizona State, who lost TE Jalin Conyers to the transfer portal.

Dillingham has been very active already this transfer cycle, so this could be the first of many coming to Tempe this winter.
