Booker missed last night’s loss to the Nuggets with a right ankle sprain suffered Wednesday, but returned like he didn’t miss any time.

He finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in 37 minutes to help the Suns snap a two-game losing streak. The Suns trailed by one at the half, but Booker spearheaded a 14-0 run early in the third quarter and Phoenix didn’t look back from there.

Next up for the Suns is in the NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday night in Los Angeles against the Lakers with the winner advancing to Las Vegas.

Top Quotes from Devin Booker Presser (via Suns)

(On how you and Kevin Durant worked on countering the denials and top blocking…)

“I think it is a learning thing where teams will try that defensively. Just having a counter for every defense that teams throw at us is the goal. Through the regular season, seeing those different looks is important and learning from them so we have an answer to every test that teams throw at us.”

(On the upcoming matchup versus the Lakers…)

“Missing any game is tough, I am excited for this one. I know they are playing well as of now. They are back healthy; they have their roster back. It will be a heavyweight match in LA. A lot on the line, winner goes to Vegas. So I think everyone is looking forward to it. It will be fun.”

(On the chemistry and relationship between Kevin Durant and yourself…)

“There are layers to it, being a fan first of him and always watching his game closely. I remember being a rookie and earning some respect from him. I remember looking at postgame conferences and how he would speak on me. That always gave me the confidence to always get respect from the top dogs in the league. He is a living legend. I am glad to be able to go into battle with him every time.”

(On your evolution as a playmaker…)

“Just reading defenses, being thrown into the fire as a young player where I would have to play through mistakes and turning the ball over, seeing a bunch of different coverages. Then just reading and reacting, I get to a point every year where I feel like the game is slowing down a bit. I watch the game more than ever. I keep falling in love with it every day. So, it is just something I love to do and pull back the layers of it. Learning who you are playing against, tendencies of other teams is important.”
