5 ASU Volleyball Players Mentioned In Postseason Awards

Marta Levinska was named first-team All-Pac-12 for her performance, in which she finished with 520 kills. A mark that doubles the next highest person on the ASU roster. It was her first time ever earning a spot on the team and her fourth postseason honor in her career.

All four other girls were named Honorable Mentions to the All-Pac-12 Team.

Geli Cyr, the #2 outside hitter for the Sun Devils, earned an honorable mention after finishing nearly 300 kills on the season. She also was second on the team in digs with 302. Making her their best two-way player.

Shannon Shields was the starting Setter for ASU and had almost 1200 assists this season. She was absolutely incredible and gave Cyr and Levinska great balls throughout the season.

The third was starting Libero Mary Schroll, who led the team with 412 digs. She had a 95% receive percentage, making her one of the top Libero’s in the Pac-12.

Finally, Claire Jeter had 117 blocks and averaged more than a block per set. She was a huge middle blocker who gave teams like Oregon and Stanford fits throughout the year. She also had 184 kills and the best serve percentage on the team.

This was a fantastic year for the Sun Devils, but it is not over as they are the #5 seed in the tournament and will face Georgia Friday night.
