It seemed like it was only a matter of time before Devin Booker delivered one of his signature clutch three-pointers to secure a Suns win.

After struggling to shoot all night long, including missing his first three attempts from beyond the arc, the Suns’ head coach, Frank Vogel, remained fully set on having Booker take the final shot.

The Suns, who led for almost the entire night, found themselves tied at 113 apiece with the New York Knicks, following a fade away two from Jalen Brunson.

Then, Devin Booker, with less than two seconds remaining, threw up a fadeaway three-pointer near the Knicks bench to hand the Suns a 116-113 win right in front of the crowd at Madison Square Garden.

While Booker did end the night with 28 points, he was still one of many Suns’ starters who could not find their grove from three.

Excluding Eric Gordon, who had a season high of 25 points, the Suns’ four other starters went 0-13 from deep before Booker sank the game winner.

Instead, the Suns relied on some other weapons that they have hidden in their arsenal, including depth on their bench, relentless defense, and a constant presence in the paint.

Phoenix collected 48 rebounds, nine more than New York; Jusuf Nurkic led in this category with 10.

Off the bench, Jordan Goodwin had himself an outstanding night.

With Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Grayson Allen out, Goodwin tied a season high with 29 minutes played. He also tied his season high in points with 14 on just 10 shots.

Tonight’s win extended the Suns streak to seven in a row. They are now 3rd in the Wester Conference and only.5 games back from the Thunder.

The Suns will now travel to Toronto, where they will take on the Raptors on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
