Led by Devin Booker in his first game back from injury, the Phoenix Suns snapped a 7-game winning streak with a commanding 133-115 victory.

After the first quarter, the Suns led by at least 20 for just about every single minute.

Unlike what fans have witnessed inside the Footprint Center in previous games, this time, the Suns were able to quickly put a stop to any momentum that the Timberwolves were able to gain.

With flashbacks of some 4th quarter collapses fresh in Frank Vogel’s head, he was not scared to blow his whistle for a timeout, maybe a bit earlier than he typically would.

While the Suns initially thought they would finally have a chance to have their big three on the court tonight, right before tipoff, it was announced that Bradley Beal would have to be sidelined due to his lingering back injury.

So, in typical Devin Booker fashion, he took things into his own hands and gave the home crowd the show that they were hoping to witness.

Against the NBA’s #1-ranked defense, Booker erupted for 31 points on 12-22 shooting.

Booker did this while only playing 26 minutes.

In three games played this season, Booker has scored at least 31 in each one.

Right behind D-Book was Kevin Durant. Along with wrapping up the night with a pretty remarkable +27 while on the court, KD shot 11-15 for 31 points.

Overall, the Suns killed Minnesota from beyond the arc.

On 29 attempts, the Suns made 17, compared to the Timberwolves, who went 5-22.

Notably, Josh Okogie, off the bench, went 3-3 from deep for 12 points. Entering tonight, Okogie was 0-12 from beyond the arc over his past six games.

The 133 points scored by the Suns mark the most that the Timberwolves have allowed defensively all season.

Overall, it was the Suns best game played all season, by a large margin, and it would not have came at a better time.

Next up for Phoenix is a matchup against the Utah Jazz on Friday.
