Carroll has pretty much locked in this award. Fans can expect an announcement for him to win it next Monday night. If his name is called, he will be the first Diamondbacks’ player to ever win the award.
Carroll was drafted 16th overall by the club in 2019. Since, he overcame a lot injuries to finally get to the MLB.
After debuting late last season, Carroll was named an All-Star starter in Seattle this summer.
In 2023, Carroll became the first not just rookie but player in MLB history to record 25 or more home runs, 10 or more triples, and more than 50 stolen bases in a single season.
Corbin wrapped up the regular season with 116 runs, 30 doubles, 10 triples (1st in MLB), 54 stolen bases (2nd in MLB), and a batting average of.285.
With Carroll locked up in Arizona on an 8-year, $111 million contract, this will likely be the first of many end-of-season awards for the star outfielder.
