Fans Questioning Suns’ Depth after Loss to 76ers

© Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports

Fans are calling the Suns’ (2-4) depth into question following today’s 112-100 loss to the 76ers in the first of back-to-back road games. This was the team’s third straight loss.

Without Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and whoever was willing to step in and help had to carry the Suns offensively. Despite the score, the Suns were never really in the game late.

Durant had 31 points, Eric Gordon had 13 and Jusuf Nurkić had 11. Outside of these three guys who are expected to score, only Drew Eubanks (10 points) was in double figures. The Suns only shot 32-of-89 (36%) from the floor tonight.

Despite Nurkić’s 11 points, nine rebounds and five assists, fans are calling into question if he’s a better center than Deandre Ayton. Nurkić shot 4-of-14 (28.6%) from the floor and attempted six three pointers, only connecting on a single one (16.7%).

Phoenix plays in Detroit against the Pistons tomorrow at 1 p.m. MST.
