Last Time Out

These two teams last met Tuesday night at Footprint Center.

On Tuesday, the Suns came out looking dominant against the Spurs, leading 95-82 after three quarters.

However, they were outscored 33-19 in the fourth by a gritty San Antonio team. It all came to a crash when Kevin Durant was stripped with five seconds left and the Spurs’ Keldon Johnson laid it up with less than two seconds remaining to give the Spurs a 115-114. Durant missed a last-second shot and the Spurs walked away with the victory.

For the Suns, the leading scorer was Kevin Durant, who had 26 points and seven assists. Eric Gordon tacked on 20 points and six assists, while Grayson Allen had 19 points (5-of-7 from deep) and seven rebounds.

For the Spurs, Keldon Johnson not only had the game-winning basket, but led the game in scoring with 27 points. Victor Wembanyama had 18 points and eight rebounds, and Devin Vassell recorded 18 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Now, the Suns have a chance to avenge the loss, playing the Spurs once again tonight.
