Initially, the news broke yesterday that tight end Zach Ertz suffered a quad strain and was placed on the IR

Soon after, the Cardinals signed tight end Blake Whiteheart and cornerback Quavian White was released as they were both on the practice squad.

As for Wallace, he started 5 out of the 7 games for Arizona so far this season.

Moreover, it was thought that Wallace be another depth piece for the Cardinals defense.

On Sunday, Wallace was benched in the 20-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Wallace only featured in the Cardinals special teams during the Seattle game and didn’t play a defensive snap.

But, they have decided they thought that since Baker returned, it was best that both Arizona and Wallace parted ways.

In the 7 games he played for the Cardinals, Wallace had an interception and 43 tackles this season.

Before coming to the valley, Wallace didn’t start in more than 3 games for the Philadelphia Eagles in his first three professional campaigns.

Now, the safety will have to look elsewhere for another opportunity in the NFL.
