While the roster is relatively the same as their NLDS one, the D-backs did bolster their pitching depth by adding RHP Slade Cecconi.

Cecconi was drafted in the 1st round of the 2020 draft by Arizona, he then went on to make his major league debut just a few months ago.

In his few starts this year, Cecconi tossed 27 innings while allowing 13 earned runs. The Diamondbacks posted a record of 3-4 in games where the rookie took the mound.

Now, he will have the opportunity to pitch in front of around 40 thousand fans in the NLCS.

The Diamondbacks will likely turn to Cecconi in either Game 4 or 5, depending on how the series is looking between them and the Phillies.

By adding Cecconi to the roster, the D-backs will not be bringing along third baseman Jace Peterson.

Peterson saw just one at bat throughout the Wild Card and NLDS.
