As a rookie, in his first postseason run, Diamondbacks’ All-Star outfielder Corbin Carroll is putting up numbers not seen since Lou Gehrig back in 1928.

So far through four games, Carroll has recorded seven hits, six runs, five walks, four RBI’s, three extra base hits, two home runs, and has contributed to four team wins.

These numbers have not been recorded since Lou Gehrig almost 100 years ago, as pointed out by @OptaSTATS.

Check out how Gehrig did this combined between 1928 & 1932.

And now for Carroll’s four-game stretch this postseason, as found on Baseball Reference.

Through his first 19 plate appearances in the playoffs, Carroll has reached base 12 times.

Oh, and he just turned 23 years old in August.
