Breaking news came out this morning as the Arizona Diamondbacks are extending general manager Mike Hazen through the 2028 season according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic.

Hazen has been the general manager for the Diamondbacks since 2017 and has been with the ball club ever since. Before then he was with the Boston Red Sox in the same position for 2 seasons in 2015 and 2016.
The Diamondbacks are right now in the Wild-Card round and are one win away from moving to the divisional round to take on the rival Los Angeles Dodgers.
They beat the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday by a final score of 6-3 and the team continues to surprise more and more this season in what could be a special season for Diamondbacks fans and Hazen is a big part of that being the reason.
