Causey, who took over Phoenix Raceway in 2022, became NASCAR’s first female African-American track president.

“It is hard to think of someone more deserving of this award than Latasha Causey,” said Chip Wile, NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Track Properties Officer. “Latasha’s work at Phoenix Raceway is nothing short of inspirational, and she’s making a tremendous difference within the community and our sport.”
Causey isn’t just an essential figure around Phoenix Raceway, but also an incredible community member. She works with the Boys and Girls Club and United Way.
Cauley will show off her speedway this November when it hosts a weekend full of events. The events range from the ARCA Menards Series West Championship Race to The NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race.
