Cardinals move up to 25th spot in Week 4 power rankings

Arizona Cardinals linebackers Kyzir White (7) and Krys Barnes (51) celebrate their defensive stop against the Dallas Cowboys at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Set. 24, 2023.

Whether it be throughout the entire preseason, or the first three weeks of the regular season, the Arizona Cardinals have been widely regarded as the worst team in the NFL.

As a result, they have found themselves at the #32 spot in the power rankings week after week.

However, on Sunday, despite being +750 underdogs, the Arizona Cardinals pulled off a massive upset over the Dallas Cowboys, who entered the matchup 2-0.

And all it took was this win for the Cardinals to shoot up to the 25th spot in this week’s ESPN power rankings.

ESPN even added the possibility that this win will start a new trend for the Cardinals.

“Should Arizona figure out a way to recreate its first-half productivity after the break, it’ll defy expectations this season and continue to win games.”

As it stands, the Cardinals now find themselves ranked above several other teams in the power rankings, including the Vikings, Raiders, Texans, Titans, Panthers, Broncos, and Bears.

Looking ahead to the Cardinals’ Week 4 matchup, they will embark on a journey to California to face off against the top-ranked San Francisco 49ers.

Last year, Arizona lost both of their games against the 49ers.
