4th string quarterback Jacob Conover finished the game in the second half when Pyne injured himself in the game and Trenton Bourguet injured himself as well. With Pyne now back on the practice field, all signs are pointing towards him getting back on the field to start vs. USC this Saturday.

After practice, quarterback Jacob Conover talked with reporters and offered in site on how Pyne looked today in practice against the first team.

“He looks great.” Said Conover. “He’s always been a great competitor you can see it in the film, his mindset and the way he prepares.”

Conover was also asked the question about him and Pyne splitting reps in practice on Tuesday.

“Yeah you know we’re working together and you know we’re going to help the team out in the best way we can.”

There hasn’t been any update on which quarterback will start vs. USC but it’s good to see that ASU is getting some injury luck back on track going into their game against USC.
