Burn City Best Bets: Diamondbacks-Giants Game One

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants are playing a very impactful two game set tonight and tomorrow night. We’re going to be all over these games, so we might as well crush some lines while we’re at it. For one we get the treat of an all-star pitching duel, with Gallen and Cobb facing off.

Game lines

Arizona is currently the favorite heading into game one with a -148 money line. Deservingly so, too. The Diamondbacks are coming off of a day of rest, after snatching the second place Wildcard spot. Arizona just swept the Chicago Cubs here in Phoenix and must have loads of momentum. I love the Diamondbacks money line play here, Gallen has something to prove, and they have been hitting the ball well. This isn’t going to be a shootout though. San Francisco is throwing one of their top guys in Alex Cobb. With that being said, I love the under on 0.5 runs scored in the first inning at -120. Both of these guys also have sub 3.65 ERAs, so I like the under on 8.5 total runs.

Pitcher props

Zac Gallen currently has a strikeout line of 5.5 heading into tonights ball game and I think the over is the play. Both times Gallen has seen the Giants lineup he struck out six hitters, and he’s looking for a big win tonight. I would also take the over on 5.5 hits allowed by Gallen. In his most recent outing against the Giants, he gave up seven hits. His outing before that was five.

Hitter props

I love the over on Corbin Carrol hits at 1.5 with a line of +155. Carroll has seen Cobb eight times and hasn’t recorded a single hit. Tonight is a big night for the Diamondbacks, and tonight is a great night for Carroll to get his timing down on Cobb. A Christian Walker homers feels like the play here as well at +550. Walker has a great track record hitting against Cobb. The Diamondbacks first baseman has a .421 AVG with one home run against the righty.

All of the line I use can be found on DraftKings, let’s win some money.
