Risings’ Danny Trejo: A journey to the Golden Boot

Phoenix Rising’s Danny Trejo has had himself an impressive month and a half with the franchise. Last week, Trejo earned the USL Player of the Month for August thanks to his impressive performance with five goals and two assists throughout the month.

Since the Rising’s first game in September, on the second of the month, Trejo has already netted three goals. As he has embarked on his breakout month from the beginning of August to the time of this was written on Sept. 18, Trejo has scored a total of eight goals for the Rising.

As he competes for the prestigious Golden Boot, currently tied in first place with 17 goals, Trejo has developed plenty of highlight reels for the season.
