Rising and FC Tulsa finish in a draw on Saturday night

The Phoenix Rising faced FC Tulsa on the road on Saturday, resulting in a hard-fought match that ended in a 0-0 tie, with a total of 25 shot attempts from both teams.

With possession 46% of the time and 3 shots on target, the Rising failed to find the back of the net in 90 minutes against Tulsa. The Rising have a head-to-head record of 5-1 against Tulsa and beat them in their last match 1-0 back in 2019.

The Rising had a quick shot attempt out of the gate at the eight minute mark when Gabi Torres attempted a header that was blocked by the Tulsa goalkeeper. Four more failed shot attempts took place before halftime for the Rising.

Out of halftime, Eric Bird for FC Tulsa missed a shot attempt and had another blocked two minutes later. The Rising were not able to take a shot at the goal out of halftime until the 53 minute mark. The Rising missed its remaining eight shots in the second half.

Although struggling to find score on Saturday, Danny Trejo and Manuel Arteaga have both scored in their last three games straight and are in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot in the leagues Golden Boot Race. Trejo has 15 goals and Arteaga has 14. Both Trejo and Arteaga had three shot attempts a piece on Saturday.
