Following being swept by the Dodgers to start the week, the Arizona Diamondbacks bounced back with a 4-2 win over the NL East-leading Baltimore Orioles.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Zach Davies, who entered tonight with a 1-5 record and a 6.93 ERA, tossed six innings while allowing just one earned run. This marks two consecutive quality starts for Davies since he was taken off the IL in late August.
After the Orioles put up one run on two hits in the first inning, Davies allowed just two additional singles and tossed five more shutout innings.
And a Lourdes Gurriel Jr. two-run bomb in the bottom of the first helped the Arizona native pick up his second win of the season.
