It’s starting to look like Arizona might be bringing some trophies this off season after all, with the newest MLB awards odds coming out.

In the most recent release off National League Cy Young odds Zac Gallen still holds the title as the favorite. Gallen is currently sitting at +175 odds to win the award. Blake Snell of the Padres and Logan Webb of the Giants both tail behind Gallen at +300.

Gallen regardless of the awards has had a tremendous impact on the Diamondbacks season. On the year Gallen is 12-5 with a 3.24 ERA, also leading the team with 165 strikeouts.

The Diamondbacks ace doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, either. In Gallen’s last three starts he has allowed just five runs in 19 innings with a combined ERA of 2.37. Gallen hasn’t struck out less than five hitters since the month of June!

On the other side of things, the Diamondbacks rookie star is a clearcut to win Rookie of the Year. Corbin Carrolls odds to win the award? -5000. The race for the award is over.

Throughout the season Carroll has been known to be at the top of his rookie peers. In an article by the MLB, Carroll was named the best rookie to build a team around. Carroll was also picked to be an all-star starter this past season, in his hometown no less, along with his teammate Zac Gallen.

Tune in tonight as the Arizona Diamondbacks (61-60) will take on the San Diego Padres (58-63), in a game featuring Zac Gallen on the bump and Corbin Carroll out in right field.
