First 8 Months Show The Suns Are in Great Hands With Mat Ishbia

With it came a lot of tough decisions that Ishbia had to make like trading away Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson, parting ways with Monty Williams, trading away Chris Paul and Cameron Payne, as well as saying goodbye to a lot of other guys that contributed well for the Suns over the past three seasons.

However, with these tough decisions, we have seen the franchise reach heights that it’s never reached in a very long time in terms of talent level and operating as a business owner.

The recent move that he made doesn’t even go toward roster construction. But it still made Suns fans really happy when he decided to retire Suns legends Shawn Marion and Amar’e Stoudemire’s jerseys in the ring of honor.

Mat Ishbia makes his goal in Phoenix clear

Ishbia hasn’t shied away from wanting to make the Suns and Phoenix Mercury two of the top-flight teams in the NBA and WNBA and fans are slowly starting to see that Ishbia doesn’t just talk the talk, but he walks the walk.
