Here are some important notes/ key takeaways from what they said:

• ASU and Arizona were never going to split up. Crow said he spoke to Arizona President Bobby Robbins over 100 times the past few days and the two were always operating under this notion of staying together.
• Left the Pac-12 because of Washington and Oregon’s departure. They were fighting until the last minute to get a deal done and were very much on board with the Apple deal
• Crow: “We were the stalwarts fighting for the Pac-12 till the last ditch.”
• ASU’s first meeting with the Big 12 yesterday was at 10:30 a.m. (after Oregon and Washington jumped to Big Ten)
• ASU will be getting a full media rights share right away in the Big 12 ($31.7 million per year)
• The Big 12 will be beneficial for the Olympic sports not only just basketball and football. It will provide unbelievable athletic competition across all sports
• Crow said that two schools didn’t show up to what ended up being the final Pac-12 meeting yesterday at 7 a.m. (presumably Oregon and Washington)
• Crow views the Big 12 as a regional conference with some exceptions
• Examined all of the options of different conferences
• Have every intention to keep all of their sports in the Big 12
• Some of Arizona State’s biggest coaches like Kenny Dillingham and Bobby Hurley are very excited for the move. It will allow them to grow in a lot of ways and provide new opportunities for recruiting (for example the football program can attack the state of Texas even harder)
