In his first All-Star appearance, Diamondbacks’ ace Zac Gallen will take the mound as the starting pitcher for the National League team.

So far this season, Gallen leads the MLB with 11 wins. While his ERA has risen over the past few weeks to 3.04, his 1.048 WHIP is #1 in the National League, and the 27-year-old is well on his way to breaking about every personal season record.
Because of this, Gallen is currently the front-runner to win the CY Young at +200 odds. He leads Braves’ Spencer Strider, who sits at +350.
For the American League, it will be the Yankees’ 5-time All-Star Gerrit Cole taking the mound. Cole holds a 9-2 record with an impressive 2.85 ERA.
The Diamondbacks will also have rookie sensation Corbin Carroll representing them in the starting lineup for the National League. Carroll is currently set to hit eighth while playing left field.
